Doodle is very near crawling. He gets up on all fours and rocks, usually pushing himself backwards a bit. He doesn't roll or army crawl like the rest of the kiddos did, so this is fun to watch. We'll see how long my kid is non-mobile, I would even say he gets around a little this way so he sorta already qualifies as a mobile little man!
Riley had her Pre-School screening this week and passed with flying colors. They did comment on how well she does verbally, especially!
On an unrelated note, Happy Anniversary to my in-laws! Mark and Linda we hope you have a fantastic day!
A whole lotta kiddos and a bunch of Green, some AHS stuff and random junk in between.

Try this one...My fave of the play date.
Test...Pictures?
Ok, so this is a pic from a playdate we had with Lexi and Zack and Kiley a few weeks ago. They were sliding down into a pile of pillows. I'm still trying to figure out where the other pics went from this play date. I downloaded 4 and this one is the only one I can find so more to come this week maybe?

Weekly Update
Ok so I might not get photos posted, but at least I can get a weekly update in. The house is still on the market, but I think sometime in September we might move back so we can get Riley settled with her new pre-school routine and back in her own bed. I know it's not the best for selling the house to have a crib in the master bedroom, but we decided it's going to work better from home.
Riley is pretty much potty trained now, occasional accidents and we haven't tackled bedtime yet, but she is trained during the day...so as soon as we find a new house a new puppy will follow:)
Doodle, is "talking" a lot now. Josh is sure he says Da-Da and Hi...mostly he just babbles a LOT! Still no teeth or no crawling, but I am very sure they are close. He's drooling a ton and he doesn't get mad on his tummy as much, he actually tried to get to stuff.
Josh likes his new job and LOVE his hours. He's home a lot earlier now. Much less stress in his department as a whole. Still wants to work his butt off and his workaholic tendencies still have him going in too early for me, but I can't change that:) But at least he doesn't HAVE to be in as early as he did before.
We are squeezing in as many playdates as we can before Riley starts school in a few weeks. We have her preschool screening this week! Ugh, our little girl is all grown up!
That's us in a nutshell. When we get back to the house, I will have more access to my computer (sorta...we have to hook up to Wi-Fi first, maybe a new computer,) and THEN I'll be back to posting with pics and more regular posts!
Pray that our house sells before then and I'll be a perfectly happy camper!

Dang, It Goes So Fast!
Today is Doodle's half birthday! (Meg, got any pictures to post of the Doodle Man for me?) He had his 6 month appointment on Monday and he is 16.14 lbs. and 27.5 inches with an 18in. noggin...He's about 40% in weight and 50% height (well, he measures 95% in height, but his doc said he was well proportioned and he thinks the height measurement was off.) He is also sitting up unsupported now and trying to get the crawling thing down...no success yet, but it's only a matter of time before my little guy is mobile!
On a big sister note, she has been in and out of the doctors herself this week. We took her to the ER on Tuesday night with a (literally) screaming headache and a fever. Those are both gone now, but she has a sore throat with spots on her tonsils. Took her into minute clinic for a strep test this morning where she puked in the lobby...fun times! But no strep and no menegitis...just a viral bug. She feels better already.

Thank Yous Around!
First, thanks Meg for hacking and getting some photos on the blog. Now I don't feel like a slacker:) Second, for those of my donors to the AHS walk every year, I just got this sent to me in an e-mail and I thought you should know your money makes a difference!
Last year, we (The Animal Humane Society)took in 5% fewer animals and increased our rate of placement by 5%, which resulted in a 7% reduction in the rate of euthanasia. There are still too many animals without homes in our community, but to make progress feels good and I hope it is rewarding for you to be a part of it.
THANK YOU! It makes me proud to be part of such a positive step! The more we do for the animals, the less animals have to suffer and that, as my niece Adie lies to say "Makes me Happy!"

Need an Excuse for DQ?
Tomorrow will be a day of hope. Tomorrow will be a day of help. Tomorrow will be a day of happiness. Because tomorrow is Miracle Treat Day at Dairy Queen and with your help miracles will happen for sick and injured children. $1 or more from each Blizzard® treat sale at your local DQ location and every participating DQ location across the country will be contributed to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Just think, if every Blizzard Fan Club member bought a Blizzard treat tomorrow, we would raise over $2 million. Let's join together and make tomorrow the day miracles really do happen for kids in need.
* Yes, that does mean I'm a Blizzard Fan Club member;) I know. Dork, right? But what's life without ice cream?

Slacking Again
I know I'm slacking on the blog again. There's a lot going on with us trying to sell the house, Josh's softball, getting Riley ready for Preschool (scheduled her screening, have to figure out what a preschooler brings to school?) and keeping up with Rowan's development (eating rice cereal now, almost to baby food! Rolling to his tummy, but not mobile yet...whew!). Josh has a new job at Ameriprise and then I'm having some mystery medical issues that I'm trying to figure out. Probably a few more doc. apts. there before we get this "case closed" as Zacky would say. All that with my grandpa dying and my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin in from out of town, we've been kinda busy this summer. I'm not complaining. It's mostly for the best, but it doesn't allow for downloading pictures too often:) I promise there is more to come!
