Fun Night, Let me Tell ya...
Ok, so I guess I was a little wrong when I said Riley was feeling better, or maybe she was and I got too excited and fed her solid food too fast, who knows. But last night was a fun one! Riley went through 4 pairs of pajamas and 2 sets of sheets and Josh and I both had a change of jammies too...She was sick 4 times in the night from 2 a.m. to about 4:30 a.m. I should be napping now, but I'm waiting to hear back from the doctor's office. They claim it's not from the flu shot, but I'm not buying it! Oh, and for you mom's out there, they said Pedialite is better than Gatorade because Gatorade tends to be hard on the tummy...I was using Gatorade but I was diluting it with water, so now we've switched to Pedialite...we'll see how that goes. She's sleeping now which is GREAT! My mom says you have to have a sense of humor when kiddos get sick, and I was doing well with that until 2 a.m....It's hard to watch your kid be sick...And it just reminds me how some moms have to watch their kids go through much worse. I'm so lucky to just have these bumps in the night.

The sense of humor thing is not just for sick kids but ALL the time. Grandma T
So let me get this straight. You get your kid the flu shot so that they don't get the flu and so that you don't have to stay up all night with your child while he/she pukes but then the shot gives you the flu and you end up staying up all night while he/she pukes?! That doesn't make sense. Why not NOT get the vaccine in first place?
No kidding, Dan, I'm not doing it again, that's for sure! My doc assured me you can't get the flu from the shot, but you can from the nasal spray, but from all the people I have talked to that's just nuts! Lots of people get sick after the stupid shot!
