Saturday was Riley's first of a few birthday celebrations for the big #3! If you ask her now she's already 3 cuz the party is when she turns older...not her real birthday which isn't until Thursday. We always do Riley's birthday as a costume party so the great grandparents can see the kids all dressed up. This year, Riley has been all about Tinkerbell so not only was her costume Tink, but so was the cake and plates, etc.
Josh took Thursday off so we can celebrate her last birthday as an only child with just Mommy and Daddy...We have a special day planned, but weather is going to play a factor in how we party...so you'll have to wait and see what we do on the big day:)
Then next Saturday we will be going to the Mall of America with Grandma Linda and whomever else from the Schuster side can come. Grandpa Mark came to the party this weekend but Linda had to work so we promised her a trip to find a Merry Go Round (notice, we promised Grandma, not Riley...I think Grandma has more fun than Roo does sometimes, I can tell!!) And then we'll probably have cake and ice cream somewhere after that...
Riley should be one tired kid by the end of the weekend!
I wish I had a picture of the cake that Meg made for the party this weekend, but if you want to see Meg's awesome Tinkerbell creation, check out her blog Trackin the Treds on the right side column. More pics of the weekend to come.
