Rowan was the last of the little people to get his Build A Bear. I admit, Mommy helped a little when picking "Paddy" out, but c'mon, can you blame me!?! He was a little nervous about the noise of the machine, but then he got into it.

At least the kids are happy about this turn of events...Although, I think Rowan is a bit confused about mowing the lawn in winter?!?!

Happy Birthday Mom!!! (Grandma!)

Today is my mom's birthday, we are celebrating all week with a little shopping a little lunch (ok two lunches) and a dinner and PARTY! We love you bunches Mom and we are so lucky to have a wonderful mom and grandma!!! Riley is wearing her fanciest dress for you today!

Rowan's Vitals

Ok, so we had Rowan's 2 year well baby/toddler visit to the Doc last week. Here are the necessary updates for our little man.

Height: 34 inches (peanut! 32%)
Weight: 26.8 lbs. (average)

He is now speaking in sentences for the most part and has mastered words like "bazinga" and "clutterbuck" along with actually useful words like "mine do it" and "no nappy"...His favorites!

2 Years Goes So Fast!

Two years ago today we met the sweetest little boy who brightens our every day. Happy Birthday Rowan James. We love you so so so much!

I was going to be thankful that everyone was healthy again but yesterday Josh discovered his "cold" was strep AND pink eye:) Ummmmm, I'm thankful that winter is almost over?!?!

Riley's New 'Do!

Some of Riley's friends have gotten their hair cut lately and Riley has often said she wanted her hair like mine...she decided this week that she liked the idea of short hair.  She was in need of a hair cut anyway, so we let her pick the length. I LOVE how it turned out...Josh likes his "girls" with long hair, so he's adjusting!

I am thankful for play dates at friend's houses and nap time at the same time...2.5 hours of quiet time for Mom! Whew!

Fish Themed Play Date!!

Thursday after everyone was healthy for 48 hours (please don't let this jinx it!), we ventured out to the Mall of America to meet my friend Cheri and her little guy, Hunter. We went to Sea Life Aquarium and had lunch at Bubba Gump and even had goldfish cracker snacks to go along with the fish theme (totally unplanned, but hey!) It was so much fun and it was sooooo good to see Cheri! Her husband is in the military and she moves a lot. I miss her!!

The kids also had lots of fun at Lego Land...Rowan and Hunter especially. Rowan kept saying all the way home: "Mama, fun! Mama fun!" More pics tomorrow.

Jinxed it!

Ok, so just when I said we were all getting better and were going to get out into the world, we went on a play date to the library on Tuesday...Riley's first time getting her own library card and checking out her own books. We are just about to check out and she comes up to me rubbing her eye and looks up at me...Yup, you guessed it...Pink Eye! UGH!

So now 2 drops 4 times a day for 5 days...and 24 hours later she is not contagious but GEEZ! January is over. And next year I will not proclaim how much I hate the month, purely because I am afraid of the Karma that it caused!

Meanwhile, the library was great! This is the new one over in Maple Grove...very nice! We hadn't been to the library since Riley was really little and we would go for story time. We have lots of books at home so it never made much sense, but she is so excited to have her own library card. I'm sure we will go again soon!
