TIGF - Thanksgiving Style

I normally do this on Fridays but given that it's Turkey Day, it seems more fitting today. 2010 has been crazy, but I must say that it only shows me what we have and what we have to be thankful for in so many ways. First I'm thankful for Family...I'm thankful for a wonderful hubby and kids. As a parent, I appreciate my own parents so much more now and my sisters! I'm thankful for Josh's new job in a big way! I'm thankful that he can take Riley to skating class without the ordeal of packing up two kids and trying to get Riley's skates on while holding Doodle...wasn't sure how that was going to work...I am very thankful for my 3 nieces and 1 nephew who make holidays much more exciting. I'm thankful for the time we spent at my parents' house this summer while our house is on the market. I'm glad our house is off the market for the holidays so we can enjoy it. Wish it would sell, but there must be some reason it didn't just yet. I'm thankful for our family on both sides who spoil us, take care of us and look out for us. We are also lucky to have babysitters close and cheap and that is an amazing thing I appreciate more and more especially since both my sisters and a lot of my friends do not have that convenience. (And please understand, I REALLY appreciate you guys!) I am thankful for the health of my family. Too many people I know have not been lucky with that and it is really scary and makes me appreciate everything so much more. I'm so thankful for all my friends, whom I don't see enough but I whom I really enjoy! I appreciate the people who have been in my life past and present because they make me who I am. I am thankful for so much more, but I better stop now or I might get mushy;) Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Halloween!

Friday we went over to my friend Kim's house for a play date with her daughter Lexi. Kim is a photographer for a kinda hobby and she had her living room set up to take some pics of the girls and Rowan. Can't wait to see what she got on her camera, but here's a few I got with mine:)

P.S. Sorry for the overload of pictures lately. Did I mention I love Fall? There is SO MUCH going on!

More from our Photo Shoot!

We have now picked the photos that will be on the Christmas card, so here are a few more of my faves from our professional shoot a few weeks ago that didn't make the card.

Our Little Roo is 4 Today!

Today our little Riley Rose is 4 years old (and Zack is still 4 too, she tells everyone! Seems she likes being the same age as her older cousin.) What a year it has been for her! Got a new baby brother, lived with Grandma and Grandpa for a while, got potty trained, started school AND Sunday school. Yikes, she's all grown up! We love you miss Roo. Here's another sneak peak at some of the professional photos.

Professional Photos

Let's see if this works. I am so excited to show you some of the photos we had professionally taken by an old friend from grade school. I can't wait for the CD to arrive in the mail, so I'm trying to pirate these from her Facebook page to post for those who don't have an FB account. I hope this works! Like I said, this is just a preview. We had an hour-long session on the 10th and we get the complete CD sometime this week to print what we want. I can't wait to see the rest!!

Note: Doodle is naked (or mostly) because it was 80 degrees on the day of our shoot. He was getting kinda cranky with all the wardrobe changes so I gave up...turned out kinda cute anyway!

For info on the photographer see "Perceptions Photography" link on my "Friends in Biz" section to the right. Erin (Cahill) Mason is the little sister of a girl I was friends with back at St. Rs. Thanks to Facebook for the reconnection!
