Happy Birthday GIRLS!

The last item on last week's busy week of fun was a birthday party for our nieces, Adrienne and Brynnie who both celebrate December Birthdays! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my favorite niece tandem (see how I did that, Kiley is my favorite solo, Adie and Brynn come in tandem! Zack is my favorite -only - Godson since I now have a baby nephew he can't be that anymore...I will have to adjust all that when Jess and Cory have more kiddos, but for now Grady is my favorite Baby Boy! WHEW! Good thing we have lots of room for favorites!)

Miss Adie Bug, I hope your day was super great and Brynnie I hope the day after Christmas is the best birthday yet! Love you girls a bushel and a peck!

Downtown on Josh's Day Off

Then Josh took a few days off work so we started with a trip...downtown...to see the Holidazzle Parade  with Jim, Erica and the kids! Gabe is months younger than Rowan but inches taller and might be brilliant too...he was speaking Spanish and doing his ABCs like a pro! Riley and Ashley loved the rare play time!

Last Week Highlights...

Meg's gonna get mad at me again if I don't post something before Christmas so here goes...last week we had a few fun things planned...I took the kids down to meet Baby Grady for the first time on Wednesday since Riley was sick when he was born...and it's a good thing we went last week because now Rowan has a nasty cold!

I also took Rowan to Pump it Up with my friend Missy and her little man, Quinn, but none of those pics turned out...but I did discover that those things are not meant for Grown-Ups...and Rowan is also afraid of heights just like Mommy!!! I swear he didn't learn it from me. I was brave!

More Snow...And More Snow...

Winter Wonderland? Not my thing, but...

It keeps the kids busy for HOURS! This weeks dumping of snow kept Josh busy shoveling and the kids busy trying to build Frosty, building a sledding hill between the neighbor's yard and ours, and otherwise getting soaked and frozen. They loved every minute! And I got to bake all my Christmas cookies with Christmas music playing all day...I guess it wasn't SO bad :)

P.S. Frosty never did get finished...they tried to build an upside-down snowman and that big ball squished all the rest! Maybe next time...

Skating with Santa

Riley and Josh have done something like this before, but I think it was a turkey at Thanksgiving instead of Santa. This year we went with Emme and Izze, some of our favorite kids we don't get to see much anymore...we had a fantastic time! It was Rowan's first time on skates and he only lasted about 5 minutes before Daddy had to carry him, but he loved it! He kept telling Josh to go faster! Riley never let go of that walker :)

The Heidemans and 2/3 of the Cooleys (Meg had to be on a flight early Sunday morning so she left before this shot was taken at the end of the night.)

Kerry "Bear" is my youngest cousin...the last of the "Cooley Girls" as the original bunch...now that Title belongs to my cousin's wives and girls...Yesterday, "Bear" became a Bruggemann (I hope I spelled that right!) We had so much fun with their cousins on the other side, the Heideman's and their dates. Danced the night away and my legs are paying for it today :) Congrats Mrs. B for Bear/Bruggemann! (Sadie Sadie Married Lady...sorry, I had too...)
