Our "Other Daughter"

Ok, some of you in the bloggosphere probably don't know that we have a neighbor girl whom we have sort of stollen from her family. We call her our Oldest Child and count her as one of our own...Yesterday was her Prom Night and she invited me over to take pictures. They grow up so fast;)

 Yes, the hand on the hip is intentional and silly...I didn't know she wanted me IN the pictures or I would have dressed appropriately! And she's in flats too, by the way...I'm just that short!

I totally forgot my camera today, but I wanted to say a big CONGRATS to my nephew Zacky! He is just starting to try new sports and he had a wrestling tourney this weekend and pinned his first two guys and won the third in a Major Decision. This OLD wrestling cheerleader was so proud:) Love you ZT!

Bird Nerd is Back...

With warmer temps come my major Bird Nerd fix...the birds are back and I am excited! Saw this guy in our tree today...I THINK he is a Sharp Shinned Hawk, but they are hard to determin from a Cooper's Hawk...Either way he's pretty cool:)

The Party!

After the baptism, Cory, Jess and half the party cooked a fantastic huge breakfast...back, sausage, pancakes, fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, everything!

Sleepover!

Since Grady's baptism was at 8:30 a.m. in Henderson, we asked if it would be ok if we spent the night down there so we could get there on time with the kids! It was our first sleepover at Auntie Jess and Uncle Cory's and we had a great time! The kids were asleep before 10 p.m. and only up for an hour in the middle of the night:) But really they did great the next day on little sleep and both kids went to bed early and slept in yesterday!

 They did get to help with barn chores, which they LOVED!

 And they met Sir Gray, the barn cat!

Godchild #3 (my lucky number!)

Josh and I were asked to be co-Godparents (along with two other close family friends) to our nephew, Grady, at his baptism this weekend. We are honored to share in his special day!

 Uncle Josh got to hold him during the baptism itself...

Level 3~Riley!

Our big fishy leveled up in swimming lessons this week. She is now a Level 3 swimmer...Rowan on the other hand may never leave Level. He just does NOT want to get his face wet and this week was rough for him, sobbing and screaming for a good 10 minutes of the 30 minute lesson. Sigh.
