Ok, one last try...this year basketball switches to all girls on the team. Riley decided to do one more year to see if she likes that better than the co-rec format. If she likes it, she will be a 3-sport athlete (one in each season, not all at once!). If not, she will likely stick with Softball and Volleyball, both of which she loves! Mom is crossing her fingers, because I do like basketball, but Rowan is also going to try it out this year (just clinics for Kindergarten) so I may still get a baller yet :) And if I don't, I'm ok with that too. I enjoy the sports my kids play!
A whole lotta kiddos and a bunch of Green, some AHS stuff and random junk in between.

LFL 1.0
In case you forgot what our LFL looked like before...we are forever a part of the Little Free Library Coloring Book and have already been asked to be part of any followup coloring book as a "before and after" feature! I love being an Little Free Library steward! So. Much. Fun. So many fun people!

Eeek, I can't believe it took me this long to post about this. Last week we finally got to re-install our LFL that has been getting repainted by an artist friend of mine (Melanie Schumacher...a friend from my magazine days who is talented in so many ways!).
The original button design did not survive the winter, hopefully just because we used the wrong kind of varnish and not because MN winters are that brutal. I am hoping this new design will last a few years because I really love how it turned out!
We wanted a four season look...Mel did an amazing job! We will likely repaint the post in the spring, but we ran out of days where the temp was high enough to paint. The temporary locker has been put away for now, but it will be used again when needed. It worked great!

Halloween Night!
We had some Trick-or-Treaters joins us this year along with the neighbor boys we normally Trick-or-Treat with...I hope that this is becoming a tradition...Our friends Meg and Chris brought their son, Quinlan for the second year and our nephew Grady joined us for a "city" Trick-or-Treat night. We have more neighbors closer in walking distance :) The kids had a LOT of fun and scored a ton of candy! Even the Little Free Library was decked out with it's own Jack-O-Lantern :)
Volleyball Halloween Finale!
Riley finished her Volleyball season last weekend with a tourney on Halloween...Three games before getting their medals...She LOVED playing and I think we are hooked for a while. The girls improved a LOT over the season and the won two of the three games. They only lost one other game all year! We start basketball in a few weeks and I think this may be my last basketball year for her...unless she decided she likes it now that teams are all girls and not co-ed? Stay tuned...
