AHS - The Animals

Here's some of the animals...see I TOLD you there were alligators! I didn't get a picture of the Billy Goat or any ferrets, bunnies, or cats, but we saw those too! Or any of the dogs that look like horses, or about 99% of the actual breeds there! I don't have enough space to do that justice, but here's a peek:) And then there's Roo after the day of excitement! She slept for almost 3 hours!
AHS- The People

Here's pics of the PEOPLE in our group. We had a total of 14 people and 4 dogs for some of it. Ok, Allison and Amy only walked a short part of it with us, so really it was 12 and 3 for most of it...a lot of our group bailed because of the cold start temps and the wind. But we even had 4 kiddos in the group! The babies are Adrienne and Eli (He belongs to my friend Jenny "Garifano" and her hubby Rob), Kelli is in the blue and the rest are our family, mostly. In the group picture, Darin is missing cuz, he's taking the picture. And no the clown isn't ours!
Also, I should say we missed Jenny and Reid and Fred this year because of new baby and baby-to-be's, so we're looking forward to having some new little walkers next year!!!

Request for Prayers
I think I do this a lot on my blog, but I decided it's a good forum for this kind of thing. There's a little girl at our church, Abby, who has been featured on KARE11 and other local news stories regarding health insurance failures (Abby ran out of insurance at age 3).
She was born with a heart problem that I can't really explain, but it's very serious and she is in need of a heart transplant. The family is requesting extra prayers as they go through this stage of her battle. I've linked to her CaringBridge site above, or you can get to their site by clicking on Becky's Blog on the right and then Clicking on Abby's link on her page. Their site better explains what they are going through and the medical condition that Abby suffers. Please sign the guestbook and let them know you're praying for them.

Living Green Expo
The Living Green Expo is this weekend. If someone goes, PLEASE tell me all about it. I can't go this weekend with the Animal Walk, Josh and Jimmy's b-day festivities, nap time, and Adrienne's baptism all going on Saturday and Sunday, so PLEASE someone go and tell me how it is...Admission is free and it's at the State Fair grounds.
TIGF
I was going to be thankful for the Tax Rebate check that is in my bank account this morning, but then how can I be thankful for something so silly when one of my good friends just had a baby boy (8 lbs. 11 oz and 22 inches! OUCH!) and I have several other friends including my sister expecting this year too! So today I'm thankful for happy healthy babies!!! I'm hoping for pregnancies that go smoothly and deliveries that are as pain-free and uncomplicated as possible for all my new mama's to be! Congrats to Jenny and Reid! (And no we're not pregnant again!)
PS: I still intend to help the economy;) It's my civic duty!!!

AHS Registration Day!
Today is the day! After nap time I'm off to register our donations for the Walk and collect the incentives that we accumulate by raising certain dollar amounts (Ie. $100 = T-shirt, etc.). The winner of the incentive drawing for April is Reid Rabon!!! After maybe 10 years of doing this I like to give away some of the incentives because I have a lot of AHS stuff laying around and I really don't do it for the prizes, so this year I thought I'd draw names from my donors as a thank you! Reid will get to pick from the "prizes" and since he and his wife Jenny just had a baby boy YESTERDAY, they won't be able to join us on the walk this year, we will miss them but we're super excited to meet Baby Nolan!
Oh, in case you're interested, we raised $2192.06!!! (yup, every penny counts!) Thank you all soooo much for your donations again and we hope some of you will be joining us despite the cold, wet weather forecasted for this weekend! Bundle up! I'll update with pictures on Monday after the walk for the final in this year's Walk Blogs.
