AHS Walk Breakfast

This morning was the Animal Humane Society kick-off breakfast for the Walk for Animals. They host this every year for top fundraisers as a way to motivate and thank people, but the biggest perk is that we get to see some of the incentives you might pick up along the way. With that being said, I have e-mailed most of you, but I will also post here my incentive for March fundraisers.

Anyone donating ANY dollar amount in March will be entered in a drawing for the top prize I think I will get this year, a very nice 4-person picnic backpack. This is the $1000 incentive so I need your help to get there so I can give it away. I haven't missed that mark in over 8 years so I hope this year will be no different! Anyone who has donated $50 or more at any time this year will be entered in ALL drawings that I do, so if you donated that much in February, you will be included on this too.

The words "Walk for Animals" above should show up as a clickable link. If they don't there is a link to my donor page on the right about 1/2 way down the page. Look me up under "Find a Participant". Thanks in advance and good luck!

Sesame Street Diva

Riley has been practicing for summer with her glasses lately...here is our little Diva watching Sesame Street. (Or something like it...might have been Handy Manny or Playhouse Disney?)

TIGF- GOOD NEWS!

This week I am thankful in a big way for some good news! It seems like with the economy failing and everyone losing jobs, all the news lately has been pretty bleak, but this week, my friends Fred and Will got one step closer to finalizing the adoption of their almost one-year-old Kayli! The birth parents signed off on the adoption papers. now they have to wait 10 days then have a court date for the judge to sign off and she is officially Kayli Roth!! Please pray everything goes smoothly until March 18th.

And yesterday, my little friend Kelsey called me screaming excitedly on the other end of the phone! She was contacted by an agency who wants to have her in local commercials. They think this agency must have seen her in a recent play she was in and she is SUPER excited. So proud of our little flower girl!!!!

Yeah for good news! Hope you all have a wonderful warm day!

Future E'Gal?

I'm not sure how this video will load, it's my first one from the new camera, but hopefully it shows up large enough to see how funny she is! We were watching the State High School Danceline Competition. Maybe a future TG E'Gal?

Go Gophers!!!

Ok, so I was really excited last week to find out that since the soft conversion of the TV world to digital television, we now have the Big 10 Network...which means we can actually SEE the Gophers play now. I am not by any means a well rounded basketball fan. I HATE the NBA, especially now that KG is gone, but I love college hoops and the Gophers come in just behind Duke on my favorite teams to follow, especially in the Tubby Smith Era. My mom was a Gopher and so was my hubby, so I do have some claim to the school, unlike my obsession with Duke that came from a sweatshirt my grandma gave me as a kid! Hey, it's not my fault St. Thomas was Division III, but in my defense I do know the Tommies ROCKED this year!

Anyway, when I found out we had Big 10 Network last week, I watched the game against Illinois...I should have stopped watching because they were doing much better before I turned it on. I take full responsibility for the loss. But on the plus side, Riley loves trying to put on my Gopher jersey (yes, it's a football jersey, I got it cheap at work!) and has attempted this several times in the past few days...she even goes into my closet and asks for the Gopher shirt and my Gopher hat!

Mad Diaper Skillz!

Riley has mastered (kinda) the art of putting a diaper on her babies...penguin, monkey, bears, whatever she can diaper, it's been diapered! She's actually pretty good at it! (Yes, Mom, I know, this means I should be potty training!) Baby steps.

Cabin Fever

Yesterday we were feeling cooped up and didn't have any plans so we decided to go up to the Maple Grove Community Center indoor playground. Riley and Daddy climbed (it's way to high for Mommy!) and then spent some time in the toddler area. riley loves the ball pit and the slide! Josh said she was probably a year away from liking the climbing area for the bigger kids, but she did like that too. Then we went and showed her the water park there...OOPS! All she could talk about the rest of the night was going swimming. Guess we know what we're doing the next time we're bored! After the park we went to the 58 Grill by our house for dinner...we're trying to stimulate the economy:) Plus we had a coupon for a free burger, so here's a pic of Riley enjoying her free food!
