Blinded by Science

Ok, no one actually got blinded...but the theme of this year's trip was Science so we did lots of experiments when we had some down time. I didn't get pictures of all of them but I did get pics of these: the famous Mentos in Coke (they tried with other kinds of pop and water to see the difference), Cooking hot dogs in Pringles Cans and Roasting Marshmallows in a Pizza Box!

Once in a Blue Moon!

Ok, so we go up to the lake once a year...But how often are with there when the moon is full...once in a BLUE MOON! I think this is the first Full Moon we have had up there and it was indeed the Blue Moon! And can I just say how much I love my camera for these shots! Katie took the last few because her camera was broken :)

Still More Fish! And a Turtle.

 The kids all got new buckets to view their catch before they release...these were a huge hit!

 This is Fred. He is the Bartsch Family Pet. He was supposed to race in the Turtle Races, but they changed the rules this year so that you could not bring in outside turtles. He had fun at the lake anyway.

 This fish was in 6 inches of water near my feet! The boys had to grab a net, it was too easy!
