Little Free Library Adventures!

This weekend, we went on a Little Free Library adventure with a steward who was in MN for the LFL Festival on Saturday. I bought this Gnome to give to a steward in Washington state who has a Gnome theme for her LFL. We named him Hudson and he was her "guide" to the LFL festival, but we also took him on a 12-hour, 2-state LFL tour to surprise her! We went From Hudson, where LFL#1 and Headquarters are located, Spring Valley, WI to visit another steward, Evan, who is a 5th grader and a Super Steward, then to Pepin, WI to see a bit of Little House history. After that we hit Wabasha and Rochester, MN and then home. Here are some pics of our adventure!

Hudson, in Hudson, taking in the view of the St. Croix!

Hudson, at Headquarters where there are something like 7-8 on the grounds with more inside.

The Pickle Factory in Pepin...Fried pickles were pretty darn good.

AHS Walk 2016!

Man was it a perfect day for a walk! I am bummed there weren't more exotic animals today, but the Tortise and the Chicken were pretty fun! Huge thanks to everyone who donated - we raised $1560 for the the critters this year!!!

What a Difference Two Days Makes!

Riley had two games this week...one Tuesday when it was 65 but the wind was so strong the kids were frozen in their tank top jerseys (when we left the house it was 75 and a bit breezy...by the time we got one city over and into and open field...brrrr). Last night was nearly picture perfect with an ACTUAL 75 degrees and sunny with a small breeze, but nothing like popsicle weather! And tonight she starts track practice in near 90s? All in a 4-day window?!?!

Softball 10U!

Yikes, how did we get to 10U already? This year the girls pitch, there are outs and real umpires (according to Riley...not sure about that detail yet!) And even better, their first game is at the fields I played tournament games at my whole childhood!!! Go Parrots!!!

First Twins Game 2016!

This is the second year we have done the Fundraising game for the MS Society! I was hoping to post before Meg, but I assume she has beaten me to it by now :) Glad they won! It' has been a rough start for the Twins!

Time for Winter to Leave...

Say good-bye little Junco, it's time for Spring! On the plus side, our Brown Creepers, Mourning Doves and other migraters are back, so I guess they can stay...as long as they don't make the weather stay cold! As of tomorrow I expect nothing but beautiful days ahead!
