Scary Fire

While we were at the lake this year there was a big fire that we could see from our place. It happened to be during a storm, but it was not likely lightning related...this need up being a garage fire that totaled the garage, but not the house of an older lady who was recently widowed. Sad, but so glad it wasn't the house!

Little Free Library Hunt

Family Day also means mom gets to go hunt for new Little Free Libraries :) Found this one just behind Brainerd International Raceway! Super cute! Mostly adult books so the kids were bummed, but I was happy to find one so close to BIR! It's a great spot for one.

Pequot Bobber Adventure...

The power in Pequot Lakes was out on Thursday, so there was no Bobber Hunt as scheduled, unfortunately that meant the only buildings with public rest rooms were also closed...sigh...after we found a sauna...I mean porta-potty...we did our annual pictures at Paul Bunyan's Chair and then Family Night, where we split off and do our own thing. We went to see a movie and then to Ernie's as always for dinner!
