Ox Shots

I already posted one picture of an ox from when we went up to Crosslake in June, but here are a few more of the Brainerd Lakes Area "snoopy-like" tourist attraction. The one of Josh and I is in Nisswa and the one of the kids and their moms is in Pequot...or Pink-Watt as Riley calls it...if you want to see the actual Nisswa ox I have full pics, but I like this picture the best:)

Under construction

What do y'all think of my new look. Thanks Jess for finding this site!

Nisswa Turtle Races

On Wedesdays in Nisswa they have Turtle Races for people ages 3 and up. Our kids are too young this year, but the dads took the kids into town to check them out while us girls were shopping. There were over 450 racers! They do it in heats I guess...Fun Stuff!

DQ for a Cause

Just a reminder. August 7th (tomorrow) if you buy a Blizzard at participating DQ locations proceeds go to the Children's Miracle Network. Who doesn't love ice cream for a cause:)

While we're on the bobber theme

Here's a pic of the Pequot Lakes bobber that again stole the kids hearts...We went to see the Ox in Pequot, but the kids just wanted to look up at the Bobber in the Sky! Then I took an artsy shot of my own interpretation of the bobber in the sky:)

Here Fishy Fishy....

Riley learned how to call fish this week..."Here fishy fishy, come here fishy!" But she didn't catch anything except the bobber...or at least if you ask her she caught a bobber:) Here's video, excuse the temper tantrum at the end, we had a bit of a melt down this week with all the fun stuff going on:) She's mostly back to "normal" again!

Did ya miss us?

In case you hadn't guessed yet, we've been out of town for over a week. Just got back yesterday. I have already done 4 loads of laundry, folded two of them and unpacked and repacked beach bags. I am going to try to get a bunch of photos posted this week, but I'll start with some updates. Baby Frankie went home last Saturday! He will now be home for 2-4 months and then back for more surgery. They are looking forward to FINALLY getting to spend some time in their new home that they moved into while at the hospital!

Grandpa is hanging in there but he is on a down from the ups and downs I think...he is still at the nursing home despite being in the hospital most of the time we were gone (we were only 2 hours away and were getting regular updates just in case)...his ulcer seems to be getting better but all the meds that they are messing around with have him retaining fluid and that is stressful on his heart so keep praying for healing and smart docs that can figure this out...

One more prayer request, a friend of mine who's dad had cancer a while back found out this spring that it has come back, they are starting treatment soon and just checking the right course of action. Please pray for them agan as they beat this thing one more time! Now on to fun stuff...
