Riley's First Dentist Appointment

Riley is just shy of 3 and a half and today was her first dentist appointment. I have to admit I was a littler nervous because one of the neighbor kids had 9 cavities her first trip to the dentist. But Riley not only had NO cavities, they also said she's doing a great job brushing and she hardly had any cleaning that needed to be done, which they said was VERY good for a child her age. YEAH for battery operated Little Mermaid toothbrushes!

I'm also so proud of how she did! She sat very nicely through my whole cleaning (watching the TV they had in the room and keeping an eye on what they were doing with me) and then did an awesome job keeping her mouth open and working the spit sucker thingy too. She was a pro! The rest of the day she was pretending to be a dentist and calling me into her office! WOW! What a big girl:)

Sneak Peak at Baptism

More pictures to come. Today was Rowan and Brynn's baptism. Katie and Darin were Godparents to both and we are very lucky that our kids both have such wonderful people to guide them. Thanks to all the family who were there to celebrate with us. HUGE thanks to my parents for the party after and for all who helped make out day special. THANKS!

P.S. Thanks Becky for taking pics at the church for us!

Fly, Baby, Fly in Action

Fly, Baby, Fly!

Zack got a flying helicopter thing from my parents for Easter. After dinner we went to test it out. I will try to post video of this too. The kids LOVED it, despite getting it caught in a tree a few times and apparently on the neighbor's roof too. Can't wait to get Riley's kite out to fly that soon too. Maybe this weekend!!

TIGF

It's payday! Ok, I don't get paid much for my one 3-4 hour shift a week, but today I'm back on the payroll since having rowan and it's nice to have a pay check again!

Play Date Last Week

Last Thursday we went on a play date with my friend Shan and her nanny kids, Emme and Izze and Meg, Brynn and Adie to Parkers Lake Park in Plymouth. It was a beautiful day...in fact it hit 80 degrees for the first time this year that day! We played at the park, had a picnic and then played on the public beach that's not open yet...we were trying to feed the ducks our leftover PB&J crust, but they didn't want to come see us. Anyway, here are some pics.

I have to explain the one where Adie is bending down holding her pants. Meg told her to come see her so she could roll up her pants so they wouldn't get wet by the lake. Adie didn't want to waste any play time with that so this was her solution...she walked around like this for a half hour at least:) Except every time Meg tried to get her camera to video tape it she would stand up!

Also, the sunglasses on Brynn-ie were supposed to be for Riley from Grandma Linda, but they are way too small. Meg is excited that one of her kids has a "normal" head size and can actually wear baby sunglasses. Adie's noggin was always too big. She would have been wearing toddler sunglasses at 3 months.
