Bedroom Decor

Both kids will have new room decor when we buy a new house. Riley's new room will be fairies, but not dorky fairies and not Tinkerbell...more like nice, "grown up" fairies that she can grow into when she's older. My friend Jess made some letters for her son Finn and they turned out so cute I asked her to do them for Riley and Rowan too. Here's what she has so far for Roo, (her instructions were that I have some blue Fairy paintings, use that for inspiration). Rowan's are still in progress, and these are not a finished work, but pretty close and I love them already! Thanks Jess!

Dragonfly Invasion

While we were up North, there were a few occasions where we noticed a LOT of dragon flies. First when we were at the turtle races in Nisswa and there was a swarm overhead before the race, and then one night (and really only the one night) while were at the lake. These dragonflies were very friendly and would land on you often.

Bird Nerd - Pelican Lake Edition

Can you identify these Minnesota Birds? I will say this for Pelican Lake, it has WAY more bird watching than Hubert did.

We Make Bath Time Lots of Fun

Bathtime for 6 kids was an adventure, but we switched off different aunts and uncles for the job and it went pretty smoothly!

Not sure what Doodle was afraid of, might have been all 6 kids and all the screaming? Kiley is busted trying to go on the dock for the 100th time, Adie and Kiley have started to figure out they might be friends (Adie often asked where Kiley was when she was napping!) And Riley with her pipe cleaner crown.

Pelican Lake - Heeeerrreee We Go!

Starting from Day One, here's a few shots from the beach. WE only got one day in the water, but a few days in the sand to play. We found the caterpillar on the first day, put it in Riley's bug box and 2-3 days later went to release him, only to find him in a cocoon so we had to bring the critter home. Guess we'll see what kind of butterfly we have in a few weeks. Hope it's not a scary moth;)
