Friday Play Date

LAst week, my friend and former roomie Jess was on spring break from her teaching gig so we arranged a play-date for her boys, my sister Meg who also roomed with Jess back in the day...and her kids and Riley and Rowan. 6 kids under 4. We normally go to the indoor park in Edina, but they were on spring break too and we thought it might be a bit crowded. So we tried out this place in Eden Prairie. Much smaller, but since our kids were often the only kids in the place, it was plenty of room for them. They had a small toddler area, but Rowan and Brynn wanted to break out into the big-kid part:) Finn wanted nothing to do with any of it unless Mom was nearby.

Punky Roo-ster

Have I used that heading before? Riley puts together some interesting outfits. Here's another...I didn't get a shot of the finished outfit though. She put a Coral pink sweater over the top and denim high-tops to go with this for school on Monday.

Beach Day in Pre-K

Riley's class had Beach Day yesterday and it was super cute. Usually, when I ask Roo how school was it was "good"...when I picked her up after Beach Day is was "Great Great Great!" She was so excited the night before she slept upside down in bed and I think she had her new flip flops under her...When we were told at school on Monday that Beach Day was Wednesday, we had to make an emergency run to Target for shorts and flip flops...she had outgrown all her summer stuff from last year and we haven't even started thinking summer given how our back yard is still snow-covered.

We did a quick mani-pedi too just for fun, but she rubbed off her big toe somehow?@?@

I knew it was going to be a fun day for her when I dropped her off and underneath her nametag was a "boarding pass" and "plane ticket" and the kid-chairs were lined up in rows of three and labeled 1A, 1B, 1C, etc. I want it to be beach day for REAL!!!

AHS Update: We're half way there!

Ok, a little over half...We are up to $1055 I think (math is not my strong suit) with both online donations and checks. If you'd still like to make a donation we have just about a month left. Our little Lily is recovering from surgery today, but by the end of the month she should be ready for her first big walk! I'm thinking she might need to be in a wagon or a stroller of some kind if our walks around the block are any indicator...she is a chicken:)

Friday Pizza Night!

Since Josh can't eat dairy for the most part, we often do Friday night Pizza Nite so Daddy can have Pizza and not worry about the after effects. (Sorry, TMI?) anyway...sometimes we do Make Your Own Pizza Nite...This is Riley's very own creation!
