We get together at least once a year with some family friends we have known since Katie and Scott were in grade school together a LOOOOONNGGG time ago:) This time we were invited to Mike and Deb's for some play time with the kids and for fun and food for the grown-ups too! We always have a great time! Thanks so much, Deb and Mike! Dinner was great and the dessert was AWESOME!

More from Reality

Last Friday we finally got to the MN Zoo to see the penguins. I was excited to see that it will be another exhibit we can visit in the winter months to make the most of our membership! We are trying to fin in as many play dates with Emme and Izze before they start kindergarten this fall and Shannon will not be their nanny anymore :( I sure hope we still see them. We love E and I!!!

Ernie's!

Josh and I have a favorite place to eat while we are up in Brainerd. When we started going up before we had kids we started going to a place called Ernie's on Gull. It's right on the lake so you can sit and watch the boats, birds...and this year the Ducks:) This was Riley's first time going with us (or at least the first time she rmembers...she might have been with last year, but it was cold and we didn't get to sit outside so it doesn't count!) and she loved it!

Turtle Races

It is now a tradition to go to the Turtle Races in Nisswa when we are at the lake. Last year Adie won the whole thing and got her name mentioned on the local radio station and a ribbon. This year, none of our turtles felt like racing:) They were kinda putsy!
