Mini Golf with Bs and Ts

My friend Jess is off school for the summer so here's play date number 2 this summer while we can get a few in! We went to a place called Malt-Tees....A mini-golf and Malt shop. Yummy! Ok, so mini-golf with 6 kids under 7 might be kinda crazy, but we got through it without holding too much up...and the scores reflected estimates, really, not actual strokes (that includes grown-up scores, not just the kids, as this was a not-so-flat ANYWHERE kinda surface!)

...but the ice cream was good!

Soccer STARS Finally!

We finally began the soccer season "for real" last night. The first game was rained out, and I have missed most of the practices because I work on Tuesday nights and for some reason Monday Wednesday soccer practiced on Tuesday and Thursday nights?!?! It rained both Thursdays...So this was really my first time seeing Rowan play soccer...Whew...it was exhausting to watch :) The other team scored maybe 5-6 goals...to our big goose egg...We had a REALLY hard time figuring out which end we were supposed to score on, and we crossed the center line maybe twice to our own end? By the end there was definite improvement as they figured it out...just in time for the game to be over. But the kids had fun and it was sure funny to watch :)

Little Free Library is IN THE GROUND!

Our Little Free Library (TM) is in the ground as of tonight. It just needs a few paint touch ups, and the books brought outside and we are ready to go! I would like to invite you to our GRAND OPENING on Sunday at 4 p.m. at our house in Champlin. Email me if you need the address! Cookie Bars, Salted Nut Fudge, S'mores Bars and Lemonade will be provided. The first 20 people to bring a book to swap in the Library will get a beautiful bookmark made by my sister Katie! Also, HUGE thanks to Terry Neubauer who built the LFL for us, and Sammy (his grandson) for helping to install tonight. Thanks to all my friends and family who donated books, buttons and tools to make this happen!

4th of July Play Time!

It's becoming a tradition to celebrate Grandma Linda's birthday (yesterday was the actually date!) on the 4th of July down at Auntie Jessie and Uncle Cory's place. The kids played lots of games and we had cake and some smaller fireworks...it was crazy windy so we couldn't do much more than that. Then we slept over night...more on that tomorrow!
