Build-A-Birthday!
This year was the first year we did a birthday party for Riley's little friends. She decided on a Build-A-Bear party and invited 9 little people to join us in the fun. It was scheduled in October but because she got sick, we had to reschedule and yesterday was the BIG day. She had such a great time and thanks to some timely rewards cards that Josh earned at work, each kid got to pick the critter of their choice to stuff and take home. (Normally you can chose a price range for parties.)
The BEST part about Build-A-Bear are the little things they do to make it magical for the kids. Each animal is given a satin heart that each child picks and makes a wish on. That heart is stuffed inside the cat/dog/bear/etc. and then stuffed by it's new owner. For birthday parties, each guest picks an extra heart and makes a wish for the birthday kid and ALL those hearts and wishes went into Riley's Hello Kitty. LOVE it! They can also give their critters a bath and "fluff" them in the hair dryers. If you can't tell. I LOVE BUILD-A-BEAR!
