Emma Krumbees has an annual Scarecrow Festival in the Fall. Here are some of my faves and a few of the kids enjoying their adventures.

WOW! What a Weekend!

Ok, so MEA weekend is always the weekend to pack all the last Fall things in before the weather turns and it often involves Riley Birthday festivities too...This year was CRAZY packed! Thursday we had a play date at Maple Grove Maze with my friend Jess and her boys (Meg was supposed to come too, but the girls have been sick!) Then yesterday we went to Auntie Jessie's place to have a FULL day of adventure in the country (more on that later) and then today and tomorrow were the first of Riley's birthday parties. Here goes with the MEA long weekend in review. I will start with the Farm...that will take a few posts!

Yesterday, we headed down to Jessie and Cory's place near Belle Plaine. We started at a Park Reserve to look for birds (most have migrated so we were a little late for the Bird Nerding, but it was still a beautiful morning for a nature hike). Played at a little playground there and then headed off to lunch. We went to Emma Krumbees to eat, hit the Apple Orchard/Scarecrow Festival and then off to the Big Yellow Barn (also known as Minnesota's Largest Candy Store!) Then back to Jessie's to play with the horsies. I will break that into 3 posts so Meg can have her blog posts spread out over the whole week...she yells at me when I go idle to long ;)

More Pumpkin Fun!

Don't tell Riley this, but today, Rowan and I went to the pumpkin patch in Dayton with my friend Shannon and her nanny kiddo. I still feel guilty planning playdates without Riley! But we had lots of fun finding Rowan and Mommy a pumpkin today, and later this week we will find one fore Daddy and Riley at the Corn Maze!

Pumpkin Fest

This past weekend was Pumpkin Fest at our church. 10 Years ago, my parents and Katie created this free festival for kids and this year was a huge success despite being indoors because of rain. With over 20 tables of books at the used book sale and 3 long tables of baked goods, they even made a pretty good profit despite all activities for kids being FREE! Money goes to support other kid stuff at church...one big circle of helping kids!

This year along with helping with the Book Sale set-up (my personal heaven...I know weird, but I LOVE getting to shop the sale once we set it up!) I am now officially...unofficially...the person in charge of Pumpkin Decorating! I say that because I am in charge, but I don't like to be on committees cuz every time I sign up for something like a board or committee I end up not liking it because it becomes "work" this way I can be in charge but still have fun ;) And I did...a LOT! I know...did I mention I'm a dork?

Another big surprise this year, my cousin Dan showed up with his 3 little Pumpkins!!! Fun weekend!!
