Went to a Mud Walk at Eastman Nature Center with my friend Shan and her nanny boys. A little chilly but a fun day and perfect for little boys!
A whole lotta kiddos and a bunch of Green, some AHS stuff and random junk in between.

More from Swimming Lessons
Lesson 2 went even better than Lesson 1. No tears from Rowan and Riley has declared that it might be ok to keep going to lessons even after she passes Level 5 which is where I told her she had to be in order to be done with lessons. Seems like a new pair of goggles was all it took for Rowan to be happier in the pool. These don't fog up like his other goggles and don't slip down his head as much!
Now, if we can just get him to stop clinging to the teacher, and put his face in the water!

Environmental Fair-Part 2
Meg will probably have more from the actual fair itself, but I basically got pictures from the Zoo and Raptor presentations. If you want more from the Fair check out Tracking the Treds on my links to the right. This was my favorite part. I had to hold my hand down when she was asking kids to answer the questions about what kind of birds they each were...of course then she called on Meg to answer it...and Kiley and Riley were good bird nerds too!

Environmental Fair
My sister found this Environmental Fair in Plymouth this weekend and it included presentations from the MN Zoomobile and the Raptor Center. The fair was pretty cool...Each kid got a plant to take home, got to touch live bugs and worms...not my favorite. But by far the Zoo critters and the Raptor Center were the highlights!

Spring Swim!
Spring means it's time to squeeze in some swimming lessons before the summer activities hit. So here we go again! Riley wasn't so sure she wanted to do lessons anymore because she is convinced she can swim fine. I told her she needs to pass level 5 (jumping off the diving board) so I know if she falls in off the dock that she knows what to do...she left the first lesson excited for next week and wishing it was the next day and not a whole week away....
Rowan...well we left off last year with him screaming every time he was in the pool and sobbing the entire lesson...it got so bad he even freaked out on a teacher the very last lesson of the session. This year...only a few tears shed, and not because of the lesson, but because his goggles wouldn't work right (His ears are lopsided, I think? It actually looks kinda odd when he wears them anyway! Plus they get too foggy to see.) Whew! No freaking out on the teacher. He said it was ok. Not too excited about this week, but we did buy a different kind of goggles to try, so maybe that will give him something to look forward to! I am solo with them this week, so I am hoping that's enough to motivate!
