Bird Nerd in Training

Home Depot often has Kid Construction Workshops on Saturday mornings. Normally we have had something going on or the project just wasn't that exciting for us, but this weekend I was excited to see they were doing a bird feeder for their Spring project. We headed over there this morning. Riley did a great job! They give the kids an apron and a pin for completing the project and they even include the bird seed for the feeder!

My friend Jess is a teacher and this was her Spring Break so we headed to an indoor park and gym to play.

MN Zoo with the Fam

What do you get when you take 6 kids, 2 grandparents and 4 parents to the MN Zoo on a windy day...Tired! But we did it...no one got lost, only one band-aid required. I didn't get many pictures cuz I was busy counting heads, but maybe my sisters got a few...Whew!

Oops...more of that darn Gibon...Josh's fave and he wasn't there...I had to take some for him:)

No Training Wheels - Take 1

Riley got a "big girl bike" for Christmas...sadly, Santa didn't know some bikes don't work with training wheels...so Riley decided she wants to learn to ride on her small bike and THEN she can ride her big bike even though right now it's a little too big. So here's her first lessons. I will post video when we are a bit more successful:)

TGIF - The Rock

Out at my grandparent's place that they sold several years back, there is a rock that we had pictures taken on many times over the years. The new owners were supposed to be having a sale out there so we thought we might get a few pics with OUR kids on "Our Rock"...I made my mom take the kids because I just can't bring myself to go back there. Thank you Mom!!

I am so thankful for the memories I have of "Snake Acres" and my childhood spent at this lake with my cousins and my grandparents. I still have a hard time saying good-bye to the place of so many happy times. Someday...

The first pic was taken the year Grandma and Grandpa sold the lake place. Long before our kids and I think before Meg and Chris were even married...and I know my cousins significant others were not even "dates" yet...except maybe Sharis?!?! It was a while back. I don't have copies of the pics when we were "kids" but this rock goes WAY back!
