On Friday of Memorial Day weekend we had a special visitor to our Little Free Library. This is Erin, a steward from an LFL in California! She has family in the Lakeville area and they were celebrating the life of her Great Aunt during the weekend. While she was here, to honor her memory, Erin brought 10 copies of this book. The illustrations are based on her Great Aunt's home.
We were her farthest north on a mission to put all 10 books in LFLs around the Twin Cities. I have met two other local stewards, but this is my first long-distance steward and I was so happy to have met her!
Every time Erin visits a new LFL, she and her friend "Charlotte" the spider usually drop a copy of Charlotte's Web instead of the Not Enough Beds book, so the pictures with the spider in it are her Mascot, visiting mine. I recently just got an Alice in Wonderland figure to do this very same thing! So excited to start our summer adventure looking for new Little Free Libraries! The kids have a goal of finding 32 this summer...random number?
