I mentioned we had a busy week and I will post pictures this weekend after a few more festivities so I can download them all at once. Plus Roo is waking up so this has to be quick. But we had a fun week so I thought I'd share:
Monday Meg and I watched Zack while Katie, Dad, Darin, Josh and my uncle played in the TG Eagle Shoot golf tourney they do every year and then Meg and I went to the dinner in the evening. Sadly, the 10-12 guys from our class that are normally there were nowhere to be seen this year so we didn't get to catch up with old classmates or sight-see, so-to-speak. Josh had a 9:00 softball game that night and hit his first ever out of the park home run. I was a proud wife on the bench! Of course not too many people come to watch 9:00 games so it was just the two other girls on the bleachers with me who were cheering for the other team, but I made sure they knew that was my hubby!!!
Tuesday was the normal watch Zack while mom and Katie golfed day...we played a little outside, but it was kinda windy. I had to work that night so it was a full day, but not too stressful:)
Wednesday and Thursday is where we were really busy!
Wednesday morning we drove out to Hanover to visit my friend Jenny and her baby boy Nolan and play with our friend Aimee and her little girl Ava. Riley and Ava had fun running all over and we had a very nice lunch. Jenny is on maternity leave so we should have some fun with Jenny and Aimee a lot this summer!!! Wednesday night Riley and I drove out to Elk River for my Godchild, Abby's preschool graduation and dinner at Perkins with the family after! It was a cute little ceremony and Abby was glad I came, so that made me feel good:) Of course, I think the girls prefer that Riley comes, but I'll take it!
Thursday morning we had breakfast at my friend Maureen's house with our other friend Sarah as well. Both has some fun news to share and Riley had a great time playing with Owen's toys and Mr O! We went for a walk through Maureen's neighborhood too and they have a really nice wooded trail...Riley liked the ducks! Then Thursday the rest of the day was spent getting ready for some friends to come over tonight for a bonfire. I had planned on going to the Saints game, but things just got too busy so we had to bail on that, but it would have been a beautiful night! We walked up to the grocery store to get food for the bonfire stuff anyway, so that was a nice walk.
We've been doing a lot more walking places with gas prices so high...the movie store, grocery store, DQ...it's kinda fun and it saves a lot in the long run! I think Josh is kinda getting to like this...I am trying to talk him into buying me a new bike so I can get rid of my grandma's old mountain bike with the insanely wide seat and creaky everything! We'll see...I have one at work that I REALLY like, but it's not in my budget right now:( We have a carrier for Riley, so as soon as my bike is out of the rafters we'll probably do more biking too:) Wow this is a long post. I'll stop now. Photos and video to come later in the weekend when I have time:)
