Riley Stats at Age 3

Had Riley's regular doctor visit today so here are her stats: 32.6 lbs. and 36 inches. "Well proportioned" according to the doc and he was impressed with her verbal and imagination skills...One of her imaginary friends joined us today:) Ironically, a Space Alien friend of hers...She did well on knowing her shapes and stuff too. She even hopped right in his lap when he asked if she wanted a sticker:)

Turns out, I need to add our favorite nurse at the clinic to our list of people expecting in 2010...Geez it's gonna be a baby boom year for us! My hair stylist, now our nurse, and over half a dozen of our friends are expecting starting this November and into mid-next year. Fun stuff!

As for the Flu Shot saga, our family practice doc who is Riley's doc and my regular doctor when I'm not pregnant, strongly recommends the seasonal shot, and for pregnant mom's he STRONGLY suggests the H1N1 shot. He said if it were his wife and young children even, there would be no question he would get the shot, but especially for pregnant women. One of the latest reports he heard was that of the most recent 100 people who died from H1N1, 28 of them were pregnant women. Nurse Angie already got her seasonal shot and thinks she will also get the H1N1 shot for herself, though she's not sure about her little guy at home who is about a year younger than Roo. Based on that info, Riley and I are on a call list for the seasonal shot and we will probably both be getting the H1N1 shot too, me for sure...still not sure about Riley 100% yet. I case that helps with any of you trying to make the decision for your own family. (The doc opinion, not of course, whether or not we're choosing to do it!)

Noah and I both had our seasonal shot. Good luck getting the H1N1 shot. My clinic and it's partner clinic received a total of 100 doses. 70 of them were used on staff leaving only 30 for patients. They are not hopeful of getting more.
