Yesterday I had my 4th ultrasound of this pregnancy. Of those, I would say 2 of them were "normal" procedure, the other 2 have been more for monitoring the safety of our Baby Boy and myself. I am VERY thankful that today I can say both of them proved "normal" and "resolved" and everything is fine! This last one was double checking something that was a concern at my last ultrasound that might have meant a scheduled c-section. Baby Boy would probably have been fine regardless, but this was more of a concern for me during labor. I'm very thankful that they were on top of things and checking just to be safe.
For those of you who know me well, you know that a scheduled c-section would have FREAKED me out! The one good thing about natural labor for me is that you can't plan for it. A Due Date is just a random guess, really, not a date to mark on a calendar in red pen. Normally, I like a plan in place, but if I knew exactly when this baby was coming I would be a basket case for at LEAST a week ahead of time. For Josh's sake, it's really better if I don't know when baby is coming until labor starts. No time to panic, no time to think about the pain part...I am a HUGE wuss in that department:) Now I just hope for a normal delivery and a happy healthy baby!
So a huge sigh of relief, no scheduled birthday here!
